Sex and Death

Best quotes from a movie: Sex and Death 101
"A man would rather have another man's jealousy than another man's respect." (Rod Blank, in regard to having an attractive woman with him.)

"Excuse me for feeling that love is more than a sloppy fusion of genitalia."

"...In conclusion, I refuse to live in a world reduced to one question: Have you fucked her yet?"
"That would be a no."

Other shit: W-r and M may no longer be an item. Have not seen them together for some time. Am also perturbed that new neighbors below me make little noise. Cannot determine more than the occasional television volume increase or door slam by teenage son. Son, R, sullen and unsmiling. Curious one that boy. Will keep my eye on him. Seems subversive. Could be interesting.

Other-er shit: Where is Patterson, building maintenance man? Have not seen him in days.

Note to self: "Mia, perhaps young R has murdered Patterson. Perhaps have watched too many horror movies of late. Challenge lift riders with knowing looks and randomly announced, Ah-has."

Powerless Mia

Saw M and W-r hand-in-hand through parking lot of building. Neither made eye-contact. Is rather sweet, really, if a little elementary. Am hoping one or the other grows spine before both turn into sappy puddle of doe-eyed slobber. Two meek individuals dating can only lead to chaos. What would occur if debate rose over amount on dinner check? Would W-r push up glasses and blush? Would M drop eyes and wait for W-r to manage? Waiter could take advantage. I see no good from a long term development.

Will, in meantime, amuse myself with watching an adult couple behave like young children. Beginning love is sweetly innocent. Am curious to see what first argument would be like. Dare I hope they do so in the hall?

Power went down in office Friday. Had no access to computers as mainframe also off-line. Took handset off phone for calls to ring through to next desk. Was in no mood for belching anger of callers. Would have accepted the responsibility had it been my error. However, as I was not in mainframe workforce center, can only assume I was not the problem this time.

Other shit: 9pm EST today on www.RealmsOfLove.com, I will be the guest for an hour long live chat along with Dakota Rebel, Bronwyn Green, Brynn Paulin, and stop-in Claire Thompson. Free book give-aways and interview questions. If interested, you will need to sign on prior for access to chat room. Come lurk or ask. One hour. Should be fun.

Note to self: "Mia, when next the lights and system go, trek to D's office and over to tell scary stories over flashlight. Sappy appears to work for M and W-r, perhaps Mia should take a page from the same book. Once. Twice would be redundant and boring."

Roses for M

W-r sent roses to M. She is unaware of the sender's identity. He did not attach a card and darted away from her door after propping them up. Must give him credit for knowing her school schedule well enough to determine her return home date such that flowers would not wilt while waiting. M made startled sound of surprise and looked the length of the hall as though the bare walls concealed her admirer's identity. Not so much as a potted plant obstructs the view. Do not know precisely what she looked for.

Have decided my obsession with people watching may be too engrossed. There is a logic leap between me being impressed that W-r knows her schedule and not thinking twice about having the information myself in order to peer through the peep-hole in a timely manner.

As W-r is aware I saw him leave flowers upon my own return from work, I am mildly surprised he did not ask me to stay silent on the matter. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that though I watch, I rarely speak. They are as aliens from another planet most days. Argument allows I am as well.

Note to self: "Mia, time for self-analysis of priorities. May very well determine I am perfectly sane and healthy--will count on that truth. However, it is important to give the impression of occasional self-inventory regardless of true revelations. I am, of course, always right."

Unstilting

Have been informed that writing style on blog is stilted. Am in full agreement. Decided I am exceedingly busy and therefore am half-assed toward bloggery duties. Am tempted remain "stilted" out of sheer stubbornness. Then friend pointed out stilted bloggery makes readers believe standard writing of fiction also tedious.

Right. Am therefore unstilting.

Mind you, I remain ever myself and change only as it suits my purposes. I'll find my stride soon enough.

Other shit: I sent off interview questions to John and am awaiting his reply. I can hardly wait for the responses. John is quite a big deal in the modelling industry.

New neighbor, W-r seems taken with M. Might there be love in the air this spring? It is also possible that Mi is not as please as I. I'm not sure if glower was directed at Ma or W-r as we waited for elevator yesterday morning.

Note to self: "Mia, loosen up."

Mia goes to Utah?

Cool shit: Am being interviewed by the Utah Examiner. Utah. An M/M erotica writer interviewed in the Utah Examiner. Take a moment. Let it sink in. Am told some portions altered for audience. Should be interesting.

Curious? Want to know more about Mia? See article author's blog page: Fran Lee or the Utah Examiner link here.

Other shit: New neighbor does indeed live alone. Had thought roommate also moved in, however second male was brother. Success, Mia! Wire-rim wearer has name similar to another. Will have to find new way of distinguishing him. Perhaps by last letter of name? Alas. Same as first. For now, will refer to him as W-r for ocular wear preference.

W-r found me decorating washer. Yes, I did decorate. W-r has endearing smile. Think I scare him. Just as well, should not screw where you sleep. Another reason one-nighters are preferable to long-term commitment.

Spent endless hours creating dream home on work's paint program. Looks suspiciously like current apartment. Must be creature of habit as am not certain can give up neighbors. J. Score points for you. Psychiatrist in your spare time?

Note to self: "Mia, attempt psychological experiment. Play shy. Take notes over five day period on W-r's behavior. May be fodder for next book."
