Work has me on a series of business trips this week. Just returned from one and am about to leave on another one. It would have been good had they permitted me ample time to do laundry between trips. I suppose this means they will foot the bill for laundry services in the hotel? Oddly, I am not hearing the audio blip from a musical: "They goooot the muuuuuustard OOOOUUUTTTT!" Feel free to name that clip in the comments.

My latest road trip resulted in the need to purchase a new cell phone. My former beloved dropped dead on me so off I went in search of a new product. Though I found better deals with Sprint, my needs and travel destinations don't work well with Sprint and I refuse to use Verizon. AT&T became my carrier of choice. I also discovered the joys of touch screens and QWERTY keyboards and limitless internet usage and email access and photos and videos galore. I love my baby. If you are in the proximity of a Best Buy, take a look at the Samsung Impression. It's cream worthy. How have I lived without this little beast of convenience?

I'm working on Faery Surprising, still. I had hoped to complete it before last week but the out of town business swallowed my time. This new trip will likely do the same but there is no reason to believe I won't be nearing finished or completed by this time next week. And my editor rejoices!

I've decided that the next project will be the one temporarily titled, Liam. My releases (I'll have two) are already written and awaiting edits for January. Liam comes out in March (?) and Freeze Frame in February but I'm more interested in breaking up the Faery line with something a little different and quick to work out. Liam is a short for Total E Bound based on the "I Kissed A Boy (and I liked it)" parody.

Do you primarily work on one project at a time, or do you have bits of things going constantly? If you have bits, does one take precedence or do you find that they are works completed at roughly the same time?

Mia Interrupted

Normally I don't post on Saturday's but I reconsidered for this one. Here is the link to the better video done by Matt and Liam. And the picture of the two above. I've also attached a link to the student page for the project because I find the reading rather fascinating. Click their names to follow. I chose not to link to the student test myspace page, nor either of the two sites Liam has for a measure of goodwill toward his privacy.

Now for that reconsideration of the post. I have a stat counter on this blog. It tells me where hits come from and how often I am hit. It also shows me a map (ahhhh, are you Latymer students understanding?) It appears my recent interest in this Liam fellow has created enough of a stir to have my blog hit repeatedly from that area of northern London. Hours of continued viewing a day. I'm flattered. And a little amazed at their shyness. I suspect if Liam doesn't know I've been posting, he will shortly.

My guess is the edited video, while fun, was a school project he doesn't wish to revisit. Months of work, perhaps unwanted attention, and while he and Matt may be proud of their accomplishment may not wish to continue to live in that moment. So be it.

Liam, Matt (by the way, your video doesn't do Matt justice), if you would like an interview, you know where to find me. I encourage you to post the three different versions of the video you shot to compile the one you have (calm, coy, manic) as individual entries on youtube. Include those wider and more extensive shots of Matt you wished you'd included because the experience is fascinating to the observer. I, for one, am curious about the original, unedited footage.

The second shot demands kudos. Regardless of your sexuality which I suspect is very hetero, this shot took commitment to your craft. Neither of you flinched. There is a screen shot I have of Matt scrunching his nose... what the hell. I'll post it too... Matt is adorable here in pic three. Still, both committed and deserving praise for a show of maturity. Well done.

This last shot, is my favorite with the crazy-assed, damn hot double dimple and crooked smile.

Yes, I'm trying to get Liam Thompson to contact me for an interview. Yes, I know you like him. Yes, he's a special, special lad who's likely of age now. Yes, I will tell you when and if he makes contact. We good? Excellent. My inbox will be much happier, unless you have further questions.

Other shit: R's brother did return home. I wasn't going to discover his name, unfortunately it was foisted upon me and etched on my brain. Anonymity would have been preferable for drunken stories one day, but alas, I can no longer claim not to remember What'sHisName.

R is rarely around. I did see him out back by the dumpster again where he complained viciously of counselling by "an old hag" who "smokes more than (he) does". Poor sod.

Other-er shit: I have been accused of being "too out there" in personality. Really? Is there a level of personality one should maintain? I think not. I like making people laugh and causing general mischief.

Note to self: "Mia, continue Liam campaign. Encourage him to review the comments of previous posts for an enjoyable chuckle at my expense (and Brynn's). Prepare the cuffs."
