Updating

I've been a busy little Mia lately. I still post at ThreeWickedWriters.blogspot.com every Thursday. On Tuesdays, I blog at WritersEvolution.blogspot.com. Theoretically, I post at another blog on the 12th of the month. I have a fifty percent hit or miss on that one and I'm striving to improve. It isn't fair to the other blog writers.

To sum up, I'm happy to announce that Hitched came out this Wednesday at ResplendencePublishing.com! It's the fifth book in the Faerily Imperfect series, "co-written" with Katie Blu. For those of you who missed it, that would also be me. Though it's the fifth book, it's a stand alone and doesn't need the other books to follow the story.

This week, I also sent in a contract for a super short story, Bet Me, that is in the works for EllorasCave.com. AND I had another book, Acting Out, accepted (contract pending), from AmberAllure.com. So, yay!

I made the unprecedented discovery that I'm ahead of schedule. Not just a little bit, but by five days--okay, now it's four because I had a migraine all day yesterday--which means I'm in good form for my writing. It might also mean I can return to regular blogging. The nifty thing about the schedule is that I planned on weekends and holidays off and I can still make my deadlines. That's new for me.

Resplendence recently accepted my proposal to continue the "Balls" books. It's the Handcuffs and Lace series of books that I wrote She's Got Balls, for. Under this proposal, I will have several more books, written in a similar offbeat style. All of them will have "Balls" in the title.

I need to update my blog, but the known release dates for the next several months are:

Balls and Chain – August 17 (RP)
Acting Out - September 11 (AA)
Policeman’s Balls – September 21 (RP)
Feral Lust – October 26 (RP)
Twelve Knights – November 16 (RP)
Prey Tell – December 14 (RP, Katie Blu)
Skin Deep – January 25, 2012 (RP, Katie Blu)

Brass Balls, By the Balls, Ballsy, & Cock and Balls are scheduled for 2012 already. I wanted to title Ballsy as Ballsy Little Shit, but it didn't fly. *sigh*

Here's a snippet of my latest release, Hitched.

BLURB:
Half-faery, Willow Harper, is the youngest of the Harper siblings. Just like them, she has no control when her gift will manifest, turning her into an inanimate wooden object. Fortunately, she has Bruce, a full faery male who has the ability to subdue her gifts. Though she hides her heart, Bruce is been assigned to work by her side on every Harper Security case. It was only a matter of time before Willow and Bruce hooked up after hours. Agreeing to a no-strings relationship, they know that commitment just isn't for them.

Agent Kane Wilcox has been tracking the identity of an arts smuggler for over a year. He's reached a dead end, but Willow Harper moves on and around the target’s property easily since she befriended the target’s daughter months ago. What isn’t convenient is the way Willow makes him feel, or the unprecedented attraction Kane has for black-eyed Bruce.

As the case progresses, one thing becomes clear, Bruce and Willow want him. But how can they juggle a three person relationship and still catch the thief? Kane is in it for keeps. When the case is over, will Willow and Bruce walk away, leaving Kane standing alone?

EXCERPT (previously unposted):
Willow vibrated with annoyance as she stormed into the Harper Security offices.

“God, you’re sexy when you’re pissed,” Bruce announced.

“I’m not pissed.”

“You’re totally pissed.” Bruce grabbed her hips and pulled her ass against his rigid arousal.

“Pig,” she snapped, but she didn’t pull away. Bruce made her skin sizzle with awareness. Rather like Agent Wilcox made her want to shuck her panties and ride him like a shameless hussy. And that’s what really pissed her off. The rest was business. She could handle business. What she couldn’t handle, or make sense of, was the way Wilcox heated her blood with a single long look.

He had to know what he was doing. Flirting? She had not been flirting. He had been flirting. Pot meet kettle, jackass. How dare he accuse her when he’d been the one making that slow one-sided smile, looking at her with those sexy brown eyes, richer than any milk chocolate created by man, and looming there in his loomingness, all man-like and manly.

Asshole!

“Goddess,” he soothed, nuzzling her neck.

Then there was Bruce. He not only kept her faery curse in check with his faery presence, but his black-eyed gaze and tussled brown hair and liquid movements made her brain go to mush. It just wasn’t possible that there could be two men on the planet that she wanted in her bed, in her body.

Further confusing her was the fact that one man was all man, and one man wasn’t a man at all, but full faery. Maybe it was another part of her curse. Being born half faery and half human, she’d naturally be pulled by men from either realm, right? Fuck that! Fuck it!

Bruce’s hot breath puffed in her ear, making her shiver.

Willow shrugged out of his hold. “Not at the office.”

“You humans have so many hang ups. If we were in the faery realm, everyone would understand us getting naked and busy. Hell, we don’t even wear clothes half the time.”

“We aren’t in faery. We’re here. Here, we keep our clothes on in public—most of the time,” she amended. “We don’t fornicate where everyone can see us.” She blushed as she remembered one instance where she hadn’t cared if anyone had seen Bruce fucking her brains out.

He seemed to know what she was thinking, and winked at her.

“You wanted him,” Bruce said matter-of-factly.

She gave him a jaundiced look. Or she hoped it was jaundiced looking, and not queasy.

Bruce shrugged. “It’s okay. He’s hot.”

“Then you do him.”

“Sure, but only if you’re there. I like your pussy too much to give it up completely.” Bruce followed her around the desk. He pushed her into her chair and kneeled before her. “Perhaps a demonstration?”

Willow’s heart tripped on itself. Her office door was closed, but that didn’t mean anything at Harper Security. Walking in was standard practice. Especially when you had a sibling who could read minds, another one who froze time, a third who appeared out of nowhere, and a fourth who wandered around invisibly.

But Bruce already had his hands sliding up her outer thighs, pushing her skirt higher until he hooked his fingers in her nothing-lace panties.

“Bad timing,” she rushed unconvincingly.

“I don’t think so. I think that agent got you hot and bothered. I’m thinking you’re wet and aching for relief.” He wiggled his brows. “I’m here and offering.”

“God, Bruce,” she squirmed backward in her chair, yet only succeeded in helping him loosen her panties. “You like that he turned me on? Doesn’t that bother you?”

“Nope. It’s hot that you’re so in touch with your sexuality. Just imagining him taking your juicy cunt with his mouth while you suck me off—fuck, I’m hard.”

Willow’s mouth went dry. She’d always wanted to have two men at once. Now Bruce was telling her he’d like it, too. Her pussy clenched as her body got on board with that idea.

Bruce grabbed her hips and tugged her to the edge of the chair. He threw her slip of lace panties over his shoulder where they snagged on the pen holder. She stared at it, giving herself something to focus on while Bruce brutally yanked her knees apart, and cold office air touched her parted cunt.

“There it is. Wet, slick, and begging. I love it when you ask nicely,” he said addressing her apex.

Updates Et Al

I'm determined to create another comic for y'all later this week. I just have to get through this pay-cycle first. Incidentally, that's the 15th. Tomorrow, I'm blogging at Writer's Evolution about all the words that make me squiggy in romance. Turns out, there were some surprises.

So, I hereby promise to do a comic this week. I have just the incident in mind. Or two. LOL.

Updates:
1. Suki is still sick and still on medication at the Humane Society. After the untimely passing of kitten six, and Bedlam, the others are doing well. They are looking for a different foster family as my nieces didn't take the loss well. I need to think of them, and perhaps in a couple of weeks, we'll foster again.

The HS tells me that Suki's problems and the deaths are not common experiences. We just had a rough start. If the girls are up to it, I'll adopt another momma kitten. However, this time, I'm gonna insist she's a Calico. I want to adopt two kitteny Calicos, so that there will be a Calico Mafia at my house.

2. Unchaste, M/M/M shapeshifter, paranormal, erotic, menage, time travel is out now at Resplendence. Hardest book I ever wrote, but one my editor adores above all my other stuff.

3. March 23rd is the Release date for Faking Perfection at DreamSpinner Press. Follow the link to see the info. And here is the Sexo-fabulistic cover art. Hot, right? I love this cover.

4. March 27th is the release date for Wrong Number, Right Guy at Amber Allure. You can follow this link to the site. I'll update more info as I receive it. I'm currently working on the galleys of this book.

March has been a busy, but eventful month. Have a great day, everyone!

Unchaste Releases today!

Post and Book dedicated to Amanda P Wright. Thank you for your support. Your words of encouragement these last few weeks have not only lifted my spirits, but kept me trucking. Thank you for reminding me why I write, and thank you for loving what I love to do. :)

It has been a few months since I had a release, but I'm happy to announce that around noon EST today, my new book Unchaste releases from Resplendence!!

BLURB:

The mystical Portal of the Gods transports Flynn Chula, shifter and descendant of the Cahokia Indians, six hundred years in the past.  Right into a tribal feud between Amaro and Koda, warriors of the empire. While Flynn finds his new circumstances impossible, Amaro and Koda know exactly what to do. Their culture dictates that shifters have to be tested, proving their place among the people--as priests. Only one high priest can rule the empire at a time, but the current apprentice reigns with blood sacrifice and fear.

As the sexual preparations begin, Koda and Amaro do their duty to rid him of any possible heterosexual leanings...by giving themselves to him wholly. Flynn, who's never wanted a woman in his life, can't believe his luck. Two hunky men can't get enough of him, and their eager to learn all the tricks.
When the blood priest discovers the plot to overthrow him, will Flynn, Koda, and Amaro escape alive, or will more than blood be lost on the altar?

EXCERPT:
Amaro looked down at his palm, then at Flynn’s chest. His nose wrinkled and he brushed his fingers over the dusting of dark auburn curls across Flynn’s pecs and down his stomach.
Flynn grabbed his wrist. “Mind your manners, buddy. You’re sexy as hell, but I don’t find the prospect of confinement to be a turn on. That’s what you plan on doing right? Until this indigenous final exam is finished?”
“He has hair everywhere,” Amaro said to Koda out of the side of his mouth.
“He’s blessed with animal form. It’s natural he’d have aspects of his totem as a man,” Koda answered. “Manaba has body hair, too.”
“Not as much.”
Koda didn’t seem to have an answer for his pal.
Flynn sat up. “It’s been real nice chatting with you boys, but how about I leave you to this, uh, discussion, while I find some clothes and my tour guide?”
“Stay,” Koda commanded.
“I’m not your priest,” Flynn said, heading off the argument before he got going again.
Amaro grunted with annoyance. Roughly, he gripped Flynn’s thigh, pulling it until he’d exposed Flynn’s cock. Then reaching for it, Amaro cupped his balls and gently worked them.
Flynn wasn’t amused. He struggled to backward crawl out of reach, but Koda put a hand on his chest. That warning look and the pissed off one he got from Amaro, kept him still.
To Flynn’s embarrassment, his cock swelled.
Amaro gave a cry of triumph. “You are a priest.”
“It proves you gave me a hard on, not that I’m a priest.” Flynn scrambled away. He got to his feet, ready to bolt, or shift. God, he didn’t want to shift. He was still aching from the last time.
“I don’t know hard on.” Amaro rose too.
Koda followed suit.
Flynn motioned to his semi-erect cock. “Hard on.”
“All priests prefer sex with men. That’s why they require the test of chastity,” Koda offered casually.
“Jesus H. Christ! I’m gay, and while that may indeed be a state of holiness and worthy of almighty praise, my cock gets stiff if a man is messing with it. It’s anatomy, guys. Back the fuck down.”

Unchaste

Great cover, right? Hubba, Hubba.

I just finished Unchaste. And by just, I mean early this week. I've already done two edits on it, because I seem to have a thing for twisty plots, and it's been sent off to the final proofer, a patient soul who polishes and buffs my work.

This book was supposed to be finished before February 1st, since it comes out exactly a month later. As you all know by the date, that means I ran really, really, REALLY late. I totally didn't anticipate how difficult writing a three-way male romance would be. The pronouns alone are mind boggling. Then there's the potential overuse of names and body parts. And exactly how do you write a menage so that everyone gets a turn has a believable story ending?

I thought writing FU was tough, but at least I had a girl thrown in the mix, and she had a definite HEA with only one of the four guys. Part of the story bible in the *Phases anthology is that there not only be multiple partners, but that they all end up as equal components of the love stories. Not pairing off, but coming together (if you'll pardon the pun).

I have another story to write for *Phases. This one already has me groaning with the Why-the-fuck-did-I-agree-to-this-es. Why, you ask? Because it will have four boys. Yup. I'm a masochist.

Fortunately(?) for me, I have agreed to write a different menage as Katie Blu. Theoretically, this one will be done with much greater ease since there's a she involved and because they don't have to all end up as a happily ever after as long as two of them do. It's sad when I look at that and breathe a sigh of relief, don'tcha think?

After a week of sinus infection--which feels like I opted to press my face against the wall for no good reason that I can find--the pressure is finally letting up and I can think a bit clearer again.

Three books releasing in March. Not bad for a few months work. I think I'll go make some tea and clean my house today. Get the cobwebs out of my living space and my head before I have to bury my nose back into my (new) computer.

*Phases Anthology is a collection of 12 novellas, written by six authors. All stories must have multiple or more happily ever afters, and shape shifters. Books must also contain the phase of the moon for the month during which the book releases. One book is released a month, for the entire year of 2011. Unchaste, playing off the Chaste Moon for March, releases March 1st. Horny, Hard, and Hare-y will play off the Hare's Moon, and releases May 3rd.
All books may be found on the Resplendence Publishing website upon release .

My new baby, Boiling Point

EXCERPT FOR BOILING POINT.... NEW RELEASE AT RESPLENDENCE BY MIA WATTS

Fauna Harper’s roller bag snagged on the door frame of her office, causing her to pull harder, which made her heel twist and ankle bend the other way—a way it wasn’t intended to bend—to knock her knee into her leg, which buckled, making Fauna fling her hands up to protect herself as carpet rushed at her face in her headlong fall to the ground.

“Phunk!” She swore into the carpet.

“Long trip, sis?” Flora asked her.

Fauna arched her neck to look at her sleek twin. Her short black skirt, tailored, white silk blouse, and three-inch pumps were exactly opposite of Fauna’s outfit. Fauna’s pin-striped pants had been rumpled from sitting on an airplane for the past ten hours and the pink sweater shirt she’d worn sported a ketchup stain, coffee dribbles, and precisely three snags from her watch band.

Fauna righted the skewed black-framed glasses on her nose. She shoved back the strands of escaped hair which had fallen across her eyes in a tangle of thready black waves. Gathering her dignity, she pushed up and tried to brush off carpet lint.

Flora tucked a lock of hair behind Fauna’s ears.

“Thanks,” Fauna muttered.

“Don’t mention it.” Her eyes still danced with mischief. “You might want to clean up a little.” She glanced at her watch. “In like, the next twenty seconds.”

Dread cooled the pit of Fauna’s stomach. “Why?” she asked, drawing the word out.

“Because Mom made Sage hire someone from the faery realm, and he’s showing up any second. You know how they like to just appear.”

She felt her shoulders drop with relief. “Who cares? You appear randomly, too. Maybe he’ll have control over his abilities the way none of us do.”

“You’ll care,” she sing-songed as she righted Fauna’s suitcase and sashayed out of the office.

“Why?” Fauna called after her twin. It never boded well when Flora acted smug. Like the smile she just flashed Fauna. She huffed with exasperation when her question was met with silence. “Fine, be cryptic.”

She cared about her pants though. She made a sound of annoyance at finding a scuff on the knee, and it wasn’t until she took a step that she realized the heel of her shoe had broken…and snapped. Fauna toppled. Her hair flung back into her face, and she hit her hip against the desk. Hot hands caught her elbows righting her.

“Thanks,” she grumbled as she looked over at her rescuer. “It’s been a day.” She said expecting to see one of her brothers.

“Fauna,” he murmured, his voice thick, husky.

Her eyes widened, and traveled up a broad chest to wide shoulders, over the arrogantly angled jaw, perfectly symmetrical features, and into brown eyes that seemed to glow with tints of red, like lacquered mahogany.

“Oh.” Breath escaped her on that single non-syllable.

“So you’re Flora’s twin,” he said.

Those same dark notes shivered up her arms and instantly peaked her nipples into tight, ready buds.

“Yup,” she answered stupidly.

His brow furrowed in confusion. He blinked. “Where’d you go, sweetheart?”

What did he say? Oh, crap. She’d disappeared again. Of course the one time she wanted a man to look at her was the one time he couldn’t look at her. Damn faeries!

“Don’t mind Fauna. She always freaks out and disappears,” Her brother Sage said strolling into her office.

“I’m here,” she squeaked.

“See?” her brother offered as proof.

“Too bad. Such pretty green eyes hidden from view,” the man said.

Thank God she was invisible so he couldn’t see her blushing. Unfortunately, she wasn’t also mute and he did hear the pathetic sigh that slipped past her guard.

Sage laughed. “Remember how I mentioned that the Harpers don’t have control over the faery portion of their heritage?”

“Yeah.”

“Fauna’s is invisibility. She disappears without provocation, or with provocation. Actually, she just disappears a lot. Especially when there’s a hot guy around.”

The following thunk, grunt, and wince on Sage’s face gave the only indication she’d kicked him.

“Must’ve hurt,” the man teased.

“This doesn’t creep you out?” Sage asked.

“It’s a little out of the ordinary.” The man shrugged. “But I’ve seen some unusual things in my time. Saw a two-headed cat once.”

Sage laughed.

“Aren’t you the new faery guy who’s coming to work here?” Fauna asked.

“No,” Sage answered for him. “Bruce should be here any second. This is our new tech guy, Cooper.”

“Human?” Fauna asked.

Sage sighed like she’d asked a dumb question, but the sympathetic smile he tossed her direction softened the blow. “She’s not a big fan of the faery realm.” He gestured to her see-through space. “None of us are for obvious reasons.”

“So what abilities do the others have?” Cooper asked.

“I read thoughts, Dill freezes time, Flora transports herself, and Willow changes forms between wooden based objects. We’re a regular circus of disasters.” Sage held out his hand. “Good to meet you, Cooper. It’ll be nice having someone on the team who behaves normally.” “Now if Bruce would show up, we’d have our full faery contingent.”

Cooper shook her brother’s outstretched hand. “I’m just glad for the work.”

“So you’re not the faery guy?” she said, needing to hear it repeated. As much as she didn’t appreciate the faery sense of humor, it would really suck to find herself ridiculously attracted to one.

“I’m the faery guy,” another man’s voice said from behind her.

Cooper’s gaze searched over her shoulder, then came back her direction after he’d dismissed the other man. He held out his hand toward where Fauna had been standing. “Cooper Blank. I’m most definitely at your service.”

Fauna grasped the offered hand and drew it into shaking range.

“Nice of you to pop in,” Sage told Bruce tightly. “We like to use the doors around here. Why don’t you two follow me, and I’ll get you set up.”

“Awesome. You guys go on. I need to…um, I need to find myself,” Fauna offered.

“You know, some people say that, but in your case I actually believe you mean it,” Cooper teased.

“All right! We have an invisible faery chick?” Bruce asked.

Fauna dragged herself away from looking at Cooper to face the new poppin’-fresh-faery in her office. His dark brown hair spiked in several directions and he favored dark colors, including the gray shirt stretched across his slim musculature. Typical of faery physique, he was perfect and beautiful, and he made Fauna uneasy with his cocky head tilt and condescending smile.

“The chick is my sister and one of your bosses. Might not want to piss her off,” Sage suggested.

“Oh, I see,” Bruce joked.

“Nice. Haven’t heard that one before.” Fauna said. She wasn’t looking at Cooper, but she thought she heard him snort.

Sage motioned for Cooper and Bruce to follow him out. “Fauna’s surprisingly less shy when not visible.” He glanced back into her apparently empty office, then speculatively at Cooper. “That seems to be a new development.”

* * * *

A week later, Cooper was still trying to find a way to talk to Fauna when Sage and his brother, Dill, called them into the office for a meeting. It wouldn’t have been such a challenge before—Cooper wasn’t exactly the kind of guy that could be intimidated—but Fauna was still transitioning from another position downtown and her hours at Harper Security weren’t predictable.

Neither was the opportunity to actually see her. Sage hadn’t been kidding when he said she flipped between visible and invisible at random intervals. How did she maintain a regular job without mortals noticing?

There was her guardedness with anything involving faeries, too. Not with her siblings whom she seemed to come alive around, but Bruce. What kind of reception would Cooper get if Fauna didn’t like faeries? Would she give him half a chance, or chalk up his kind as another thing worthy of disdain?

It was the only hitch he could see in getting to know her. He’d have to work on her aberration toward the other realms. Cooper was proud to be an elemental. It wasn’t faery, but it was definitely magical. Would she object?

He sat in one of the large chairs opposite Dill and Sage. Sage studied him intently, a curious look in his eyes. The mind reader, Cooper remembered. He cocked a brow at Sage in question. Sage smiled, curiosity becoming amusement.

“It’ll be good for her,” Sage said quietly.

So he’d read his mind.

Fauna’s light step clacked on the wooden floors. She wove between the chairs and sat down in the only other empty one, next to Cooper.

“Sorry. I got stuck on a call,” she explained.

“That’s okay. I was just getting to know a little more about Cooper and his talents,” Sage told her.

Cooper eyed Sage warily.

Fauna glanced at Cooper.

“Good morning, Fauna.” Cooper winked.

Her eyes widened and suddenly she was gone. He couldn’t help but smile. Her disappearing act was going to make things a little tricky, but Cooper liked a challenge and he definitely wanted to get to know Fauna Harper.

What she didn’t realize was that as an elemental, particularly a fiery elemental, he could detect body heat without thinking about it. Where undoubtedly Fauna was invisible to everyone else around her, Cooper saw a shimmery golden representation of her. The cooler temperature of her clothing made them fade slightly, which gave Cooper a deliciously enchanting view suggesting curves and swells. Right now those tantalizing breast swells had distinctly distended tips, swollen with hot blood.

She’s turned on.

Fauna’s golden form shifted nervously in her seat. Her hand fluttered up to her cheeks, pressing presumably cooler fingers to it. She stared openly at him, her bottom lip clamped by a row of golden upper teeth.

Cooper made a point of looking away so she wouldn’t guess that he could see her. If staring at him and getting turned on accurately reflected what she’d want to do in private, he’d eagerly play along.

Sage choked on a laugh.

“There’s a whole lot of subtext going on here. How about we cut to the chase and discuss the job,” Dill recommended. “Or you can share with the class.” He looked pointedly at Sage who shook his head, still trying to hide his mirth.

“What job?” Fauna asked, tearing her invisible gaze from Cooper’s profile.

“The one you and Cooper are being sent on,” Sage told her. “Pack your suitcase again, sis. I need you and Cooper to fly to Posada, Texas tomorrow morning. You’ll be setting up security protocol to head off some vandals.”

“Texas? In summer? It’s like a furnace down there,” Fauna complained.

“You and Cooper can handle it, and I need to put him on a solo tech run. It’s a straight forward security job protecting the biology department of a small town college,” Dill explained.

“I love summer,” Cooper said. Even if added heat did have a tendency to overwhelm his libido circuits, he thought he was up for the challenge. He eyed the golden-girl. In fact, he thought he was up for a failed challenge, too. Either way, a couple of weeks in Fauna’s presence promised to be unforgettable.

Boiling Points

Dell finally decided to let me get online today. For the past week, my computer has decided that I don't need to use ANY moving picture applications. Not Adobe Flashplayer, not windows media player, not silverlight... nothing. Suddenly that decided to start working last night. One minute, nothing on my screen moved. I closed the lid, came back about five minutes later, and VOILA!

In exchange for Dell's generosity of, oh, actually doing its job, it decided to hijack all three of my internet browsers. Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer WOULD. NOT. OPEN. I could see four of my email accounts through Windows Live Mail, which imports it to one location, but actually accessing the Internet? No dice.

It was only after a virus scan (clean), and a factory hard-reboot (remove the cord, remove the battery, hold the power button down for the count of forty) that I was THEN able to get a browser when I clicked a link in an email.

Niiiii-iiiice Dell. I hate Dell. I'll never buy them again. This computer is the FOURTH refurbished computer I've gotten in a year and a half since I bought the original. None of them have worked. And this one is a 7i. I'm just putting that out there.

Now that my rant is over. I get to tell you that my book comes out today at Resplendence!!!
Boiling Point is the fourth book in the Faerily Imperfect series. This one is m/f and features Fauna (Flora's twin sister), and an Elemental named Cooper. Since she hates all things faery, Cooper has his work cut out for him.

Blurb:
Fauna Harper was cursed with the ability to disappear at random moments. The faeries have given her nothing but trouble, and there is no way she’ll ever invite that kind of trickery into her personal life. Assigned to work with a sexy new hire, she’s grateful to leave an office full of half-faery siblings and faery reminders behind. Cooper’s slow smile promises romance, and a lot of heat.

Cooper Blank is on a mission to guard proprietary cloning research for the council of elementals. Getting a job at Harper Security was the first step, being assigned was the second. The fact that he gets to work with Fauna, just sweetens the deal. Even though Fauna agrees to some afterhours sex play, Cooper’s feelings for her are anything but casual.

As the chemistry between Fauna and Cooper ignites, Cooper wants to come clean about his true nature. Unfortuantely, the identity of the culprit outs him before he gets the chance. Now, not only has the job just become more complicated, but he’s betrayed Fauna’s trust, and she isn’t accepting apologies.

Their relationship has reached a boiling point, and Cooper just hopes he can convince Fauna to give him a chance, before he loses her to the fall-out.

I'll post an excerpt tomorrow, once I know what Resplendence is putting up on the site. Thank you for stopping by!

Unchaste

I HAVE COVER ART.... and it's pretty-ful!

This one is for a male/male menage shifter book, coming out March 1st. It will be the third book of the Phases series being written by six different authors. We'll each release two books next year. March will be my first of that collection, my second one will come out May 3rd.

Basically, we picked the phases of the moon's cycle and it's various names for each, then wrote a story using that particular cycle for that cycle's month. Hope that wasn't confusing. March's moon phase is the "Chaste" moon. There ain't nuthin' chaste about an erotic menage between men. Hence my title, "Unchaste."

These books will begin releasing in January, from Resplendence Publishing!

FU

I watched "He's not that into you" and have decided it is the suckiest movie on the planet. Seriously? I'm disgusted. I had read about the movie on a blog by Rassles months ago, and thought, Gee, can't be that bad. With Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johanson and Jennifer Aniston it has to be great, what is she thinking.
O.

G.
I am embarrassed and horrified that any actress would play a part designed to make women everywhere like simpering morons. Women come across as needy stalkers who can't live life in their own skin for the need of a man to complete them.

Pardon while I disappear for a few seconds to go puke some more.

...

And in other news, FU releases tomorrow!!! If you're interested, you can find it on the coming soon page at ResplendencePublishing.com.

“No one’s saying she has to go right now. Let her get her things together, talk to Housing, and find another place,” Jaxon reasoned.
She decided she liked Jaxon. She had the strangest desire to lick his bald head, nibble on his full lips—which spurred thoughts of what those lips would feel like on her pussy… When was her last period? She had to be ovulating. There was no other reason for her to be thinking sexy thoughts about all these guys when two of them wanted her gone and the other two just wanted to get laid.
“Guys!” she yelled, again.
“Let the men talk, doll. We’ll take care of this,” Dan said, over his shoulder.
Excuse me? Doll? Let the men talk? Did he think this was the fifties? Oh, fuck, no!
Having three brothers, she knew one absolute truth about men. When they saw boob, they got stupid. Parker grabbed the hem of her shirt and hauled it over her head. Wadding it in a fist, she propped her hands on her hips and waited.
Kei looked first, did a double take. His gorgeous black eyes stroked every curve of her breasts with slow interest. She felt each visual caress like a physical one, the thrill knotted her nipples and shot an electric jolt straight to her pussy.
Henry was next, following Kei’s sudden silence with curiosity. His Adam’s apple bobbed and his eyes bugged. The woody in his pants had come back to life.
Jaxon turned, surprise lifting his brows and a sexy grin flashing those beautiful pearly whites her direction.
Dan was the last. Turning because no one was listening to him, then crying to the heavens for mercy, he sank to his knees and began thanking every deity known to man.
“Now that I have your attention, boys, let’s get one thing straight. You don’t get to tell me what to do or make my decisions for me. I already planned on a visit with the Housing office as soon as you jokers shut up. If I can leave, I will. Last I heard, it was first-come, first-served so even if it is a while, you’re stuck with me. Like it or not I’ve nowhere else to go. So. Are we clear?”
There were a variety of nods and grunts of affirmation.
“Good.” Parker put her shirt on.
“No,” Dan moaned. “Bring ’em back.”
“Shut up, Dan,” Jaxon said, sounding flatteringly husky.
“Dang it!” Henry grabbed his cock and ran to the bathroom.
That boy’s going to go blind, she decided.
Kei walked up to her. He wasn’t tall, only another five inches on her five three, but he was stocky and muscular. His smooth skin and angular face looked even better up close. So did his perfect lips and obsidian eyes. Kei’s straight black brows pulled together slightly in the middle and she could read the tension on him.
“Parker,” he said, quietly, calmly.
“Kei.”
“We’re all fairly decent guys. Even Dan is cool, once you get to know him.”
“I’m sure you’re all angels,” she agreed, sarcastically.
“I suggest that unless you want one or all of us to warm those very cold looking breasts, you keep them well hidden in the future.”
Her mouth went dry. All of them? God, the images that conjured! Parker licked her lips. “I’ll keep that in mind,” she answered. She’d definitely keep that in mind.

Got Art

So tomorrow, I have this little release thingy happening. Open Sesame is coming out from Resplendence Publishing. It's part of an anthology but can be purchased separately while still in ebook format... which is like, three months or so. For the time being, here's my brand-spankin'-new cover art for my February 2nd release, F.U. It's a menage. Just for you curious, menage literally translates to "household" and does not mean it can only have three participating sexual partners. Which is good, since F.U. has five. Heh. I love the cover.

We went through one generation of mullet hair and I had to have the cover artist add glasses to one of the guys, long hair to my Asian dude, and change one of the background hotties to an African American. It's a very well rounded book. With lots of *ahem* action... and stuff. I'll post a blurb on it later, but for now, enjoy the art.

Oh and also, go over to Stumbling Over Chaos where a lucky winner will get a copy of each of the four stories in the Not Quite Wicked anthology... the one with my story, Open Sesame. The drawing is tomorrow! Head over and make sure you enter for your chance to win. Click the link and scroll til you find it.

15 days and counting...

Along with trying to update my website and failing miserably (half-naked dudes on the homepage and fire on the background tile for the other pages... WTF?), I'm having a manic hurry-up-and-write moment for my December release. I suppose it doesn't help that I intend to take a bit of a vacation in about two weeks.

What was I thinking?

But here's the deal. I have a book release coming out. MIND F*CKED releases October 27th. It has a fantastic gift inside which negates the cost of the book when you do your math. Also, I'm participating in the Dark Diva Reviews sexy Halloween contest (you reeeeally ought to see earlier posts on my blog to see if I've posted the jpeg yet). Among the giveaway options is this new book. Imagine the savings and fun to be had!

An excerpt of Mind F*cked? Why yes, I suppose I could.

Stunned by erotic mental whiplash, Sage Harper jerked like he’d actually been slammed against the white bathroom tile for a quickie.

Oh shit. Here we go again.

Cool water scooted soap bubbles off his hands. Sage turned off the faucet and searched the mirror spanning the men’s room for the culprit. Five open doors, one slightly ajar, and three unattended urinals reflected back. Images of hands clawing at Sage’s shirt and his belt buckle rattling to his ankles came to him in rapid-fire succession. The suggestion of climate controlled air tickled the hairs on his body as though he stood completely naked in someone’s fantasy.
Sage grabbed a paper towel, jerkily wiped his hands and threw the wadded paper into the garbage. The prick has to be in here somewhere. Only proximity and the frequency of heightened emotion could transmit an image this realistically.

“Hello?” Sage called.

Invisible fingers tugged at his cock. The magic was strong. It bounced off the walls and magnified back at him. He closed his eyes, trying not to be distracted by the filmy layer of fantasy that washed his human vision.

The slap of hand wetly sliding on cock and accompanying grunts led him to the last stall. Sage pushed open the already ajar stall door. A young blond man with a hoodie leaned against the wall, his eyes closed, getting off to the fantasy in his head. The fantasy he projected to Sage unwittingly.

It was Sage’s gift, bestowed through the trickery of faeries on the children born of a mortal and faery union. Half-breeds taunted with their partial birthright. A half-gift for a half-breed. As abilities went, it had been fun when he first hit puberty, but the appeal died within the first year.

Fucking sex-crazed lunatics inhabited the mortal world.

And here is Mia, wondering if Lord Dunsany ever wrote about erotic fantasies. Hm.

excerpt: She's Got Balls

by Mia Watts
Releasing November 17th from ResplendencePublishing.com

“Don’t forget to tuck ’em, sweetheart.” Agent Jennings slapped Chris Tarpington’s shoulder. “God, I love fresh rookie meat.”

Chris tried to smile good-naturedly, but really he wanted to storm out of the sector office and slam things.

“What are you complaining about? Your first op and you get to go undercover with the local police farce,” Mathis shouted after Chris, not even trying to cover his booming laughter.

“Swing your hips, Tarp. Hold your chest out,” Jennings coached, joining in.

I’m going to fucking annihilate this case, Chris thought. No fucking way would he be humiliated on his first big assignment by dressing in drag. The detective assigned with him would have to take that honor. He smiled in grim determination.

Clutching the case file in a white knuckled grip, he stormed through the office to the public area and the conference room where his new partner waited. Some of the desk jockeys snortled as he walked by. He shot them each personally designed death glares.

“You’re the big guy now, aren’t you Tarp?” one of them mocked as he passed. “Or is that big gal?”

“Don’t get your panties in a bunch,” another of Chris’ old co-workers quipped. “Those big girl panties can bind.”

By the time he got the conference room, his shoulders felt tight. God, what a nightmare. Chris steeled himself with a deep breath and brushed the blond strands, obscuring one eye, off his forehead.

He almost snorted. Detective Vincent Pilk didn’t know it yet but the tables were gonna turn. Detective Pilk would be wearing the dress through this op and Chris would let him think it was an honor to do it. With a new plan firmly lined up, he swept into the conference room to tell Pilk how things were going to be.

“Aw, shit!” Plans crashed into a heap and spontaneously burst into flame. This? This was Detective Vincent Pilk? A man whose name inspired visions of protruding Adam’s apple, knobby knees, and sailor suits? “Damn it! You’re a fucking bull.”

Broad shoulders, dark curling hair, and a tight ass turned slowly, with a demeanor of being inconvenienced. Pale blue eyes zeroed in on Chris with laser intensity as mocking dark brows rose in arrogance. Full, chiseled lips quirked upward higher on one side than the other. All together he looked to be patiently amusing Chris’ perusal, taking his initial assessment in stride.

There was no way on God’s green Earth a man with the shoulder span and arm size of Vincent Pilk could put on a dress. Wide chest narrowed to lean hips and a runner’s legs. And two hundred twenty or forty pounds of red-blooded American linebacker physique swallowed Chris’ five foot, eleven height and slammed it down with another six inches, easy.

“How the hell do you detect anything without being spotted?” Chris wondered aloud. He circled the Detective, shaking his head. “You’d make one fugly woman.”

Pilk folded his arms across his chest, looking more immovable by the second as his smile disappeared. Amusement still twinkled in his blue eyes set in the olive complexion of pure Italian heritage complete with high cheekbones, square jaw, and what looked like a permanent five o’clock shadow. A pale scar curled from the side of his bottom lip toward the point of his chin and stopped just shy of a barely noticeable cleft. Chris would have to be an idiot to force the dress issue.

“Is this a set-up?” Chris laughed suddenly realizing the sector guys had pulled a good one on him. “It’s a fucking set-up. Shit, for a minute there, I thought you were my ops partner. I mean, shit, what were they thinking, right? I could just see you tottering around in red heels and talking about your latest casserole recipes.”

Tears streamed from the corner of Chris’ eyes. He slapped his hip and peeled in another round of laugher.

“Oh, God, this is amazing!” Chris wiped his eyes and shook his head to show he was duly impressed. “You’re amazing. I mean, God, look at you. A gigantic body-guard with attitude is just what I need in a fucking wife. Damn, I sure as hell wouldn’t fuck you in a dress, Vincent.”

The breath slammed out of his body. Chris’ feet dangled off the floor and two meaty fists wadded his shirt as the wall pressed unforgivingly against his shoulders and head. “What the fuck?” he gasped.

Pilk’s stony face, and inch from Chris’ nose, snarled. “You’re a foulmouthed asshole who talks too much. You’re careless and stupid and you will never, ever, ever call me Vincent again.”

Chris’ eyes widened. “Sure, okay,” he gasped.

“My name is Vin, are we clear rookie?”

“Clear,” Chris’ voice came out strained and wispy. “Can I come down now?”
