Sage Harper is cursed. Being half fae and half human, the gift he was endowed with was to be a walking fantasy in both looks and mentality.

Joe Glassman needs a top-notch security firm. Unfortunately, it seems that Sage is it, which will not help his libido one bit.

Joe is the first person that has not projected his thoughts into Sage’s mind. Usually the half-breed, as the faeries call him, is being tormented with sexually charged thoughts thanks to the curse bestowed upon him at birth. There is something different about Joe, something that has Sage completely flabbergasted and spilling his every erotic thought.

Mind F*cked is a sensational read! Mia Watts uses wonderful elements to make this story so much more than just a hot erotic tale. The feelings of inadequacies that Joe and Sage both feel are very realistic and heart breaking. There is so much sexual tension and foreplay within this novel, that when the sex scenes finally came around I was afraid I was going to have a heat stroke I was so hot. This is a beautiful and suspenseful novel that I am sure to read time and again.

A New Review!

Title: Mind F*cked
Sub Title: A Faerily Imperfect Tale

Authors: Mia Watts

Genres: Paranormal, HOT

Night Owl Romances
Hearts: 4.75 / 5 - Reviewer Top Pick

Review:

Sage Harper has finally met his match!!! Well, not really.... Or maybe? Sage was gifted, or cursed depending on your point of view, at his birth by the faeries. They gave him the ability to know what other people were thinking when in an emotional state... like arousal; then they gave him the ability to arouse lust in just about anyone. The gift was pretty good for about five minutes in
his teen years, but ever since it has been nothing but a pain. Then Sage met Joe Glassman, not only could Sage not read Joe, but Joe seemed completely uninterested in Sage and now Sage seems to have developed the inability to censor himself...at least in Joe's presence. What happens when theses two are thrown together for a week with no separation? A really big mind f*uck!

I loved this book!!! I laughed so hard that I almost choked on my soda. I thought Sage's inability to keep his mouth shut was hilarious (as will anyone who has every slapped their hand over their own mouth and said "eek! Ignore that.") also, his insecurity over the fact that Joe didn't seem attracted to him was very cute and heartwarming. I was really impressed with the characters, although I wish there was a little more to the back story, maybe we'll see more in the rest of the series. Very fast paced, it was the best kind of read; it left me wanting more.

Thank you, Vallerianna!!

Mind F*cked was reviewed by Dark Divas Review!!!

Jen’s Review: Mind F*cked is one of the funniest and most heartfelt books I’ve read this year. I know funny and heartfelt don’t sound like things that go together. It’s like saying something was hysterically poignant and that just can’t be right, but it works in this book. I laughed all the way through Mind F*cked and my heart still went out the each of the characters as they struggled to figure out their future. I just wanted to grab Sage and give him a big ‘ole hug, when I wasn’t laughing my butt off at something he just said.

Mia Watts is an author that makes this combination of emotions work very well. I’m not sure that any other writer that I’ve read recently has been able to accomplish this with such a realistic quality; one or the other of those qualities, but not usually both. The characters felt so real that they jumped off the page to greet me. Sage and Joe were so true to life and honest in their responses that I couldn’t help but fall in love with them on each and every page.

My final verdict on Mind F*cked: Mia Watts has done it again! She’s delivered a winner, and I’ll be very excited to read the next in her Faerily Imperfect Series.

Rated 5 Delightful Divas by Jen!

Remember to comment for a chance to win your choice of adult toy basket. Time is almost out and my next book, She's Got Balls, is releasing on the 17th! Do you have your basket picked out yet?

MIND F*CKED, OUT TODAY

How about a celebratory peek?

Blurb:

Sage, the first born has the ability to read minds but only in high passion moments when thoughts transmit at a higher frequency. But the gift is double-edged. Sage is inordinately handsome. Some might even say he’s a walking orgasm. So what’s a half-breed to do when every thought seems intent on seducing him and how will he know if the man he chooses will love him, or what he sees?

Joe has never been the object of anyone’s lust before. Certainly not the center of a sexual fantasy for the hottest guy he’s ever laid eyes on. If only Sage could shut up for one minute and quit talking about how hot he is. Joe doesn’t believe for one moment that Sage can read all minds but his, so why should he believe that Sage seems unable to keep his own thoughts private just because Joe is near?

Protecting the Zodiac Stones from theft has become an awkward cat and mouse game. Could Sage really more than a body or is he looking for a one night stand Joe isn’t sure he’d recover from?

Excerpt:

The newcomer’s brows rose in amusement and humor twinkled in the depths of his moss-green eyes. A moment passed. Sage saw nothing. Nothing. Considering he’d never been in the presence of another person and not seen them play out some daydream or another, since puberty, the difference was shocking.

The man’s smile faded, dimming the light in his eyes. Sage waited for a vision that didn’t happen.
“Well, have a good day,” the other man said. He turned toward the wall of urinals.

The sounds of the youth behind him streaking toward orgasm brought a weary sigh to Sage’s lips. He didn’t bother to look back. He was more interested in the man who thought nothing of him at all.

It wasn’t until Sage stood immediately behind him, while the man tucked himself away, that Sage realized he felt vaguely disappointed.

The man turned sharply. “Can I help you?”
“You don’t want to fuck me?” Sage asked incredulously. The words hit the air and Sage grimaced. “That didn’t come out like I expected.”
“Really?” he drawled. He yanked his zipper with a harsh rasp and leveled Sage with a deadpan look of mild-irritation. “You mean that’s why I’m standing at a urinal pissing? I secretly wanted some stranger to come along and take it as a hint? Gee, and all these years I’ve been dangling my cock over the wrong receptacle.”

15 days and counting...

Along with trying to update my website and failing miserably (half-naked dudes on the homepage and fire on the background tile for the other pages... WTF?), I'm having a manic hurry-up-and-write moment for my December release. I suppose it doesn't help that I intend to take a bit of a vacation in about two weeks.

What was I thinking?

But here's the deal. I have a book release coming out. MIND F*CKED releases October 27th. It has a fantastic gift inside which negates the cost of the book when you do your math. Also, I'm participating in the Dark Diva Reviews sexy Halloween contest (you reeeeally ought to see earlier posts on my blog to see if I've posted the jpeg yet). Among the giveaway options is this new book. Imagine the savings and fun to be had!

An excerpt of Mind F*cked? Why yes, I suppose I could.

Stunned by erotic mental whiplash, Sage Harper jerked like he’d actually been slammed against the white bathroom tile for a quickie.

Oh shit. Here we go again.

Cool water scooted soap bubbles off his hands. Sage turned off the faucet and searched the mirror spanning the men’s room for the culprit. Five open doors, one slightly ajar, and three unattended urinals reflected back. Images of hands clawing at Sage’s shirt and his belt buckle rattling to his ankles came to him in rapid-fire succession. The suggestion of climate controlled air tickled the hairs on his body as though he stood completely naked in someone’s fantasy.
Sage grabbed a paper towel, jerkily wiped his hands and threw the wadded paper into the garbage. The prick has to be in here somewhere. Only proximity and the frequency of heightened emotion could transmit an image this realistically.

“Hello?” Sage called.

Invisible fingers tugged at his cock. The magic was strong. It bounced off the walls and magnified back at him. He closed his eyes, trying not to be distracted by the filmy layer of fantasy that washed his human vision.

The slap of hand wetly sliding on cock and accompanying grunts led him to the last stall. Sage pushed open the already ajar stall door. A young blond man with a hoodie leaned against the wall, his eyes closed, getting off to the fantasy in his head. The fantasy he projected to Sage unwittingly.

It was Sage’s gift, bestowed through the trickery of faeries on the children born of a mortal and faery union. Half-breeds taunted with their partial birthright. A half-gift for a half-breed. As abilities went, it had been fun when he first hit puberty, but the appeal died within the first year.

Fucking sex-crazed lunatics inhabited the mortal world.

And here is Mia, wondering if Lord Dunsany ever wrote about erotic fantasies. Hm.

excerpt: Mind F*cked m/m

Let's make this short and sweet, shall we? Mind F*cked releases October 27th from Resplendence. The first meeting when Sage is trying to read Joe's mind and realizes he not only can't, but he's unable to keep his own thoughts to himself.

“Can I help you?”

surprises for everyone

There's a chat today between authors and readers and anyone else who's interested. Prizes to be had and excerpts to enjoy along with great conversation. Have questions? Ask them. We aren't afraid, we welcome them. Join us 5-8 Pacific, 6-9 Mountain, 7-10 Central, and 8-11 Eastern, at the Romantic Gems Yahoo Group.

My editor sent the official cover for Mind F*cked and I must say, I love it. She used two of the stock photos I requested, excellent graphics, and a darkened background that perfectly works with the concept of the story. I also noticed that my name uses similar coloring to what's on my website. I'm debating whether or not to blow it up and frame it on my wall. I've yet to do that with my covers but this warrants special treatment, don't you agree?
2nd surprise: In the above and in the second book of the series, which will be male/female, I am working with someone to give every buyer a special gift. It's difficult to explain without giving it away, but there will be much incentive to purchase. Because each book will stand alone as its own complete story, readers who do not cross the genre barrier need not fear doing so.
3rd surprise: Well, this one is mostly for me. I've begun intense work on Faery Surprising. The opening sequence begins with quite a bang. I'll post the first few lines once I'm further along.
4th surprise: Actually this one is for me as well, unless you have been avidly awaiting the release of books in a particular order. My editor has changed it up a little but for very good reason. The new order shows the release of Bound by Darkness, the second book in the Darkness series begun at Ellora's Cave and continuing at Resplendence. With the other books coming out in quick succession, we were still able to fit Bound sooner than anticipated. Here is the new publication release date list.
...(starting at the point of change from the list on the right)
04/13/10 Hitched
05/11/10 The Crush
06/22/10 Kiss and Tell
08/10/10 Bound by Darkness
09/14/10 Unscripted
10/19/10 Catalyst
11/30/10 Tempted by Darkness
01/11/11 His Bestfriend's Wife
02/08/11 Lord Captive
03/15/11 Delivered by Darkness
05/17/11 Faking Perfection
06/28/11 Time Warped
I'll post blurbs about each as time grows nearer.

melting mia? I think not...

Financial reports annoy me. You would think that being someone who appreciates order, who keeps a log of hours and a calendar for projects of all sorts, I'd enjoy the columns and rows of an excel spreadsheet. Not so. While I'm not incompetent with creating formulas for data, I protest the idea that excel can issue a "bad girl, no no Mia" bong if it doesn't like my information. If it were human, I could appeal to its logic. I could convince it WHY column E5 and C5 can be multiplied with G5 to get the result I wish for and NO IT BLOODY WELL ISN'T CIRCULAR!

I am considering a lovely outing with my laptop, Oscar. I rather think he will enjoy a swim about now.

Other shit: I'm awaiting the cover for Mind F*cked. I saw the proof and it is possibly the best cover I've ever had. I cannot wait to share it with you. I'm especially pleased because I picked out the gents on the cover by attaching their stock photo links to my cover request. And the script is stellar.

Other-er shit: My editor, Courtney, sent me edits of both Mind F*cked and She's Got Balls this morning. Both are to be completed and submitted this week. This is the same week I am to be well into Faery Surprising, a book I haven't begun yet. Well, not exactly true. I've begun it but word counts under 1k don't matter.

Other-er-er shit: My other editor, Michele, has asked me if I'm on schedule for the three books TEB would like to see. As I am yet completing Melting Melinda (and had planned to be finished Sunday), have not started the other two (needed January and March) I should say, "No, dearest editor, I am not." HOWEVER, my lovely calendar had allowed some leeway this summer of six weeks, knowing that the boss had many long hours planned for my day job. I'm pleased I did that because where I might have been far off schedule, I am merely smack on. Huzzah!

I'm eating my pork loin sandwich, lays chips, and washing it down with cool milk. I know it's early for lunch but I missed breakfast and I'm starving. And. bored of math. I've already seen my boss glare at me twice so I had best finish up and return to work.

I'm not a flicker

I believe it's possible I'm obsessed with eyeliner. After several failed attempts and some successful, I've decided the flick isn't the look to achieve. Instead I've become rather keen on a subdued cat's eye, with under eye smudging. All from an afternoon of old movies and Internet how-to searches.

And it annoys me to have spent my much free-time on something as trivial as eye makeup. There was, however, a good reason. Writing avoidance. Not that there is a complication with the current plot for Mind F*cked but I can't sit long enough to let poor Sage get-off. I will have to rectify that tomorrow afternoon.

Other shit: R came home appearing not worse the wear. Cockiness seems to suit him although his parents and older brother would disagree. I assume. I've heard much wailing and muffled Peanuts-type yelling. Other than a quickly retreating sports coat and loose fitting jeans, I've not met the brother to determine if he has fulfilled his obligation.

Other-er shit: Just confirmed that I'll need to add another 20k onto Mind F*cked before it is finished. Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment.

Note to self: "Mia, get the first 20k out before you offer to add another 20k. Were you high?"
