Come again?

I spent two hours talking to one of my editors on the phone last night. Nothing business, just tossing "the bull" (whatever the hell that means as bull tossing is quite complicated and rather a strain on the back). Or is it "shooting the bull"? I've never been good at Americanisms. Seems cruel to shoot a glorious animal for the purpose of talking "smack" or "crap". Shit. I should have given up ages ago.

There's been much banter on Carol Lynne's yahoo loop and Claire Thompson's. Most distracting as I try to complete my current story. However, I'm always up for thinly veiled sexual references and quick comebacks.

You should seriously consider joining.

Um, aren't you an American? Seems like if you're old enough to write novels, you should have a decent grasp of the language.

Anon (ahhhh. has the tone of my favorite snake. could it be?)- Indeed, I am. But as anyone who has parents of different backgrounds knows, things get blurred, expressions mixed.

Sample Expression: It has nothing to see with. Common in my home. Do you understand it? I do. And yet I'm still American.

Anny- It is. Though completely skewed in favor of m/m. After all, it's what the group is for. *wink*

I don't know... I think Mia has a very good grasp of the English language...you know, for an American.

Funny post Mia.
