Starting to get worried

about the Authors After Dark conference. I'm not someone who does public appearances. There are very good reasons why I don't. The idea of being out and about where there are cameras and people who blog with pictures makes me very, very nervous. I'm thinking I should show up with a bag over my head.
All the group photos would be so great, wouldn't they? Heh. Anyway, I'm trying not to stress out too much. I'll just smash every camera I come into contact with. I'll also try to be highly knowledgeable when it comes to discussing my genre. I'm nothing if not an excellent faker of knowledge.

On the other hand, if I lay low, maybe no one will notice that in person, I'm not nearly as in your face as I am in bloglandia.

sigh.

Nothing for it but to show up.
