Denouement

Wow, my personal plot line has been all over the map these last three weeks. It looks like I get to enjoy the moment when everything comes to fruition. Yay, me! The "black moment" where everything almost fell through and left me homeless and broke, was last week. This week, I'm in my house. Woot! There is so much to tell and Bronwyn Green keeps pestering me to put it in my blog ala cartoon. I promise I will do my best, but it will be over the course of several days, for I am thorough in my amazing ability to attract teh awful.

That said, I LOOOOVE my neighborhood. There is a little old lady in a green house on a major corner here. She puts animals and crocheted things in her yard for decoration. Right now it has crocheted snow men and Santas around the base of a tiny stemmed tree. In the corner by the stop sign, she has a giant goose which she crochets outfits for. Seriously! Bron and I first noticed the cop uniform, followed three days later by the goose in fatigues. Then for Thanksgiving, she dressed it up in a turkey outfit, which was HILARIOUS! complete with sock pupped face. Right now, it has a tea cozy look, red sweater with yellow strip around the neck, and a matching red cap.

My older niece noticed that in her backyard garden, there is a bear (which I still say is a fake Yorkee) with its own closet of clothing. I'm enchanted. I have to meet this lady.

Across the street from me is the Trailer-of-all-things-lit-and-Christmassy, along with random items they apparently feel the need to display. The catch is, they ARE displayed. They aren't just tossed willy-nilly in the yard. So every night and every morning I look out my dining room window to see the fully outlined front of my neighbors house and yard in lights. Central is the nativity scene. Next to it... a giant bald eagle in a rot iron cage.

Apparently, Jesus does not support our government. Or, this is some obtuse reference to government infringing on belief systems in America to which this owner is flicking his nose. Who can say?

Next to them, I can only believe is a very proud Jehovah Witness owner. Why? Because there is a HUMONGOUS lighthouse in their front yard, more than two thirds the height of the trailer, overlooking the street. I could be wrong. Maybe it's someone warning others away from the not-so-subtle message next door. Or, a misdirected sailor from another life. Or, an elaborate beware-of-dog-stay-away-from-these-shoals warning. Frankly, it confuses me. There is sooooo a story in that psychology somewhere.

I just put up wind chimes, provided to me by Bronwyn. They aren't loud, but Zen-ly ting-y and per her instructions, they are by my front door. Little known belief... wind chimes herald wealth. If you put them by the front door, it's supposed to mean wealth will come in the house and stay. If you put them by the back door, it draws wealth from the house, leaving occupants broke. Who knew? All I needed was a barrage of wind chimes on my front porch all these years.

Is it evil to put wind chimes on my neighbor's back porch if they have a really great home, and identical ones on my front door to show the money where to go? I could seem all give-y and kind in providing my neighbor something of beauty, while underhandedly snagging all their moolah.

Sigh.

If it worked, I'd feel guilty. Bummer. That would be the stealthiest thing ever.

So, today it's snowing!!!!! Yay!!!!! I love snow, especially when my car isn't parked in it. I also have a book coming out this month!!! Yay!!!! December 17th from Total E Bound is the release of Knight's Fall, another Boys in Blue book. Boiling Point got postponed to the end of January because I'm a hag who couldn't keep up with the deadlines in the middle of a cross-country move. Sorry.

Good to see you all again. I've missed you!
~and in case you ever move to Michigan, Bronwyn and Brynn are LIFESAVERS. I couldn't have done any of it without them. Thank you, ladies. I love you!

Soooo,,,what does ut mean when the SU puts ours in the middle of the house, hanging from an archway? Do we get to keep the wealth, or does that make us misers? LOL!

Glad to hear you're in your house!

Thanks, guys. I will get those comics done at some point. :) Sometimes words don't adequately describe the ridiculousness of a situation. Plus, I almost finished one of them, then decided it was too bitter. LOL. I needed to sweeten up before I finished it.

I think the gods of wind would smell what you're cooking, and instead you would come upon great wealth and lose it immediately. Probably.
