Withering Snakes

There is an individual I've purposefully kept from blogging about. She's an angry person with and agenda. Not so much an "agenda" as, an AGENDA. About everything. All the time. She puts people in categories and gives them a layer of personality believing that is all they are or will ever be. Lately this person seems to be feeling a bit left out of stuff. As a result, she blogs and eviscerates her prey. Remember the snake post, that's her.

I don't care for her style and I actually feel rather sad for her most of the time, but as clever and manipulative as she is, there are some things she cannot do. She cannot foresee the rise and fall of companies. She cannot rebuild bridges with employers she's crashed and burned. She cannot call in locusts or boils or make the hair fall off your cat. She's only human after all.

My point, writing community, is that deciding someone isn't worth your time and energy does not mean you also have to flay them. It doesn't mean you call them "witch" and stack wood beneath their feet fueled with rash accusations that cannot be proved.

To my friends who have been badly burned by the venom this woman spews, I understand the pain. You give her more power than she deserves and by doing so, you breathe life into the dying embers of her hatred. Just let her burn out. She's harmless now.

Bitch, I wanna know who she is so I can get all riled up and make fun of her in my head, being the bully bully that I've always aspired to be.

PS: Although what I just said goes against the grain of this post, I completely admire your mindset on this.

I posted about a similar situation on sometime in April, I think. I wonder if we're talking about the same person??

Well said! She's not worth my time to take it to heart. I've chosen to ignore her nasty comments. Which is normally hard for me. I'd like to tell her a thing or two, but you're right. She probably lives a lonely life. Sad, because she's missing out on some great friendships!

In my life, I've found we can never know the heart of another individual and therefore never have a true idea of their motivations.

Unless under direct physical attack, my policy it to walk away. A word war accomplishes nothing except more hard feelings and uneasy relationships.

Also have learned that a one sided war soon peters out. That old movie "What if they gave a war and nobody came?" was based on truism. If no one showed up for the war, nothing would happen--expect detente.

Rassles, love, no can do. Read a few writer blogs and you're likely to discover the identity.

Amber, Molly- yes.

Anny- Always true. I give in to temptation at times, but I cannot blame her for things she has not done.
