Have you seen my PL?

New Contracts:
1. Open Sesame, short m/m story was contracted as part of a multiple author anthology entitled Not Quite Wicked at RP.
2. Untitled, short m/m story was contracted for the Cuffs and Lace line at RP.

Keeping track? That would be eight contracts in the last three months. I suspect my free time will be somewhat limited, no? Job security. Job security. Job security.

I adore electronic gadgets. Particularly, reading gadgets and laptops. There's a lot of interest in the Kindle and Kindle 2, some heavy promotion of Sony eReader last year, and prior to that the eBookreader and rocketbook. I own two ebookreader devices and a Sony. Though I've wanted a Kindle, it was quickly upgraded by the Kindle 2. It's the way of things technical. They grow into bigger ideas, stronger concepts, more appealing products. But inherently I have difficulty trusting a company who updates its products with the speed Kindle has.

There's a new product releasing 2010 which has me drooling like a child in a candy store. Look at this and tell me you don't agree. I want to have its electronic babies. Don't understand? Review the FAQs regarding wireless, screen editing options, software compatibility, battery longevity. This is the future of digital readers and I want to be on the front line.

Had to share my current obsession as it occurs to me that not many in our industry are yet aware of PL.

Note to self: "Mia, get off soapbox. It is entirely too serious up here."

I could never get one of those. I'm way too addicted to books, like, as an object.

My husband wants one of those...

Rassles- after your cell phone post, I'd have to agree. But. There isn't a keyboard on a Sony.

Julia- Plastic Logic? Excellent, because most people haven't a clue what I'm talking about when I first mention the gadget.

At www.threewickedwriters.blogspot.com they recently discussed a school in MO going completely paperless for texts. I'm very excited about the possibilities. I may have to find a reason to go back to school simply to get one.

Okay. That one has me drooling. It looks very similar to the Kindle D that was unveiled yesterday. I haven't read anything from a Kindle but apparently if you want to read a newspaper, it's very difficult. Teeny tiny print. Sooo, they came out with something roughly the same size as the one you linked. Kindle D's cost? About $500. They really really need to come down on the price but I suspect that'll happen with the new devices set to launch this year and next. I love my e-reader. It's a cheapy but a goody.
Love what you've done with your blog. Very nice.

Oh hey! That was MY post. Thanks for the mention. I'm just fascinated with the potential in these devices. Tomorrow my daughter takes her college textbooks in to re-sell and I bet it's gonna make me sick.

Oh hell, no. I've been posting random things for months about my irritation with blogskins and backgrounds. But I finally sat and learned. Sort of.

There's more I want to fix up. But it's my first go. *shrug*.
